Dr. William (Bill) Powell

Dr. Powell is an osteopathic physician specializing in functional family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine. He is a graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri where he also spent time as a teaching fellow of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, before moving on to his dual residency. He is board certified in both Family Practice and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, which enables him to provide both primary medical care and perform manipulative treatments for neurological, musculoskeletal and other issues. In addition to his board certifications, he is also an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, utilizing diet and lifestyle changes to address the root causes of health and disease. Dr Powell continues to be involved in teaching with student and resident rotations, as well as giving lectures and teaching courses in osteopathic manipulative medicine.
A native of Northern California, he grew up in Chico, the youngest of 5 by a mere 7 minutes, he knew he wanted to be a doctor by age 5. After high school, he went to Germany for a year with Rotary International and then 2 years as a missionary to then Czechoslovakia. He started at CSU in Chico, transferred to University of Utah for few years where he met his lovely wife, and they had their first child. The family returned to Chico where he graduated with honors in Psychology from CSU. Having traveled the w0rld, they are delighted to call the Pacific Northwest home, where they have raised their three children who are now off on their own adventures. Dr Powell loves animals, enjoys a good novel (when he gets the time), sings with the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers, and considers himself a foodie. He is an avid cyclist, both on the road and in the mountains, he enjoys hiking, skiing, fishing and just about anything else outdoors.
Kimberly Schueler

Kim is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with 12 years of professional experience in the medical field. She has spent more than 8 years working in private family practice and clinic settings, providing holistic primary care support. Kim started her career as a registered nurse caring for patients at bedside in an adult-focused intensive care unit for 5 years, followed by triage nursing in outpatient cardiology.
She is passionate about supporting optimal quality of life for her patients, no matter what stage of life or illness continuum they may be in. She believe that the best health care involves taking time to truly listen and understand each person as a unique individual, and that plans of care are then co-created that take into account these unique aspects.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University. She also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economic earned from University of California, San Diego. She is a trained end of life doula and hospice volunteer, with advanced practice certification in palliative care. Kim has also supported communities abroad by volunteering medical support in Haiti and Peru.
Barrett Gifford

Barrett has her MS in Clinical Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States (Portland, OR). She has completed advanced training in gastrointestinal and immune disorders with the Institute for Functional Medicine, and possesses a Functional Nutrition certification through PCC’s Institute for Health Professionals. Prior to pursuing her clinical training she received her B.A. in Sustainable Food Systems from Huxley College at Western Washington University. In her clinical practice, areas of special interest include gastrointestinal health, hormones, immune dysfunction, cardio-metabolic health, and neurodegenerative disease.
